you really should do something interesting so people don't get bored with this, your blogspot (as i am, i who complains, daily). maybe you should put up links and things or possible short stories, or perhaps think of comedy routines or hows about posting pictures of silly looking animals or anything but good records sales charts and impotent propaganda

I suppose it would suck to work at another store in Dallas. No vinyl and a bunch of used crap and incense. Gross.

is it just me or does pavement sound dated now? a few new live tracks just doesn't do it for me.

"Slanted and Enchanted" is still good. "Wowee Zowee" was never good.

yeah, I think Wowee Zowee was a real downturn for them. Slanted and Crooked Rain are two of my all time favorites (not to mention the Watery Domestic EP), but after that, I can take or leave a lot of Pavement's catalogue. Wowee Zowee has a few really good songs but a good bit of filler too.

Wowee Zowee. Taste it again for the first time. I think it's their best record. I hated it at first. Over the years I've found it has the best replay value. What used to seem like filler eventually formed a cohesive whole. The band deserves some credit for releasing what is a fairly challenging record at the height of their popularity. I heard it blasting at Waterloo recently and thought it had aged remarkably well. I'm sure you've heard it more than enough but it's the only Pavement album I can still listen to all the way through.

i don't know, there's just something about them that slightly annoys me these days, unlike in the past when i thought they could do no wrong. doesn't really matter i suppose, maybe when time travel is possible i can back to '94 and love pavement all over again.

I think Watery Domestic is the best thing they ever did... I know you can't compare an EP to an album, but I think all four of the songs on Watery are among their best.

couldnt agree more sr. i believe I went on record here as saying W, D is the greatest EP ever. That was a fucking great day when I picked that up at Best Buy in 93 for $5.99.... probably the one off West Freeway in FW.
