It List: Monday 12/11/06

I've always meant to recommend Paul Slavens and his improvised night of music at Dan's Silver Leaf on Monday nights. If you haven't heard the set-up, it involves Slavens and a group of expert backing musicians making up songs about topics (accompanied by tips of course) that are submitted by audience members. I'm not so much impressed by the music school factor as I am the ability to sustain the lyrical improvising on all the drunken submissions. I also want to point out that Slavens consistently nails it with his playlist on Sunday nights.
