A Poster And a Song

I thought I'd try a little experiment. Theres a certain group of unreleased songs by a certain band that I like. People around the blogosphere have been posting some of these songs in recent days, but they've all been taken down about as fast as they've been put up. So, in the interest of fun, I've decided to post an MP3 from this group of songs without mentioning either the band or the song's name. I bet most of you will recognize the band pretty quickly, and I'm also pretty sure that most of you will dig the song. And if the artist, record label, or management catches on to my little trick and wants me to take it down, please email weshotjr@yahoo.com and we'll do so immediately.

Although everyone's been talking about the rediculously long Nike jogging track, I think this is by far the better release.

Any reason you posted this particular track? I'll follow James Murphy pretty much anywhere, but the vocals on this track really weirded me out at first. They grow on you, but there are mos def better ones on the album.

"Genius of Love" is probably the cutest song ever. I'm sure it sounded totally disposable at the time, almost 26 years ago. But holy shit, I go fucking crazy when I hear it. Have you heard Screw's version?

I think the cutest song ever is "Music Box Dancer" by Frank Mills. Heaven!

I really want this to be a full blown argument about the cutest song ever. Don't let me down, Metroplex.

By the way, "Music Box Dancer" is impossibly horrible.

Genius of Love is very cute, especially when you imagine the children from "Village of the Damned" singing it.

Gary Young's "Plant Man" is pretty cute in its attempt to be educational.

Gary Young is not cute, he looks like a hunched back long haul trucker.
