I don't know what any of you lame asses did for NYE, but I had a blast and I hope you did too. I'm still kind of recovering from it all, but shit, it's the weekend, and I'll totally keep rockin' in 09'. The scene waits for no man, my man. This one doesn't have a lot of commentary as we've decided to pretty much take the rest of this week off, but we'll be rested and ready to go with more 2008 year end coverage starting Monday, so stay tuned. From reading other local publications big and small it's pretty obvious that Weshotjr has a better, more informed, and more articulate say about things than any other tastemakers around here. but cmon, the reason anyone reads this blog is the inflammatory and controversial opinions and rants by anonymous posters. Like someone used the word tastemaker in reference to this site, that was hilarious. This site is about anonymous jokesters, they are the stars here. It is certainly not because the people who "run" this blog provide any good content, regardless of how superior they think their tastes are, and you can find out about shows anywhere. I've always found people who hold thier preferences to be superior to othes to be petty and tasteless, so i get a laugh from the write ups sometimes, but I wonder how many other sites like this there actually are in DFW anyway, and really for the size of this metroplex it doesnt appear that there are really that many people who pay attenion to this place.
