It List: Thursday 02/01/07

In Dot Dat/Mom/Final Fight (Rubber Gloves): This should be a mostly laid-back affair punctuated by moments of grandiose ear-splitting buildups to balance things out. From what I can gather, all three of these groups are mostly instrumental, taking cues from other cerebral and vocal-less indie rock groups. I've heard nothing but good things about Mom, whether it be on this blog or around town.

Lost Generation with DJ Wanz (Fallout Lounge)

Description from Wanz:

At some point I am gonna show the Roll Deep documentary and then throw on Appleseed for eyecandy while I am spinning. As usual I have a ton of new stuff and old classics from the vault. I am gonna lay heavy on the dubstep, hip hop and funk tonight.

It was kind of slow last week. I could use a little better turnout so come out, tell a friend, make a request, have a drink and get down Lost Gen style. Cheers!!!

DJ G (Hailey's)

Flashlight Party (The Moon in Fort Worth): I'm assuming this is a residency now.

Douche. VOCAL-LESS? Wouldn't that be instrumental?

strange fact. People that think I am in way too many bands and that they all suck have a personal grudge against and really know nothing of my music or me. I am currently involved in 2 very different projects which is the most I have ever been in at the same time. That is not to say that I have not been my fare share of mediocre bands. I can always tell how cluelees people are when they say that I am in a million bands when I have only ever been in one band at a time. one off collaborations with my friends and Dj nights don't count as bands.

I wish I knew who these grudge holders were so I could apologize to there face for whatever I did to be so hated. I think of a lot of mean spirited people in the scene that deserve the bashing i get on here a lot more than I do, but then again those are probably the same people bashing me........all 3 of them. One might think I am an ex-nazi skinhead the way these knuckleheads go off.

To be honest I have made a lot more friends due the constant slamming on this blog's comments than ever before. So a mighty thanx to the haters(all 3 of you). Keep those insults coming. Without them I probably would not get half of the attention I have been getting lately and since I spend most of my time promoting other musicians and artists everyone wins.

grand prize goes to anyone that can name any time in the past decade that I have been in more than one band at a time aside from the occasional overlap of one band breaking up while another is getting started.

you guys are awesome. I love my haters.

i think some hate wanz because he's an easy target, as he's so accessible. he's at shows, he's supporting things, he's creating music. seems like jealousy, for some reason. why? get out there & diy, support good music.

Wow, you caught me. Let me rewrite it so you can understand it:

From what I can gather, all three of these groups are mostly instrumental, taking cues from other cerebral and instrumental indie rock groups.

See, when worded that way the sentence becomes redundant and the author sounds foolish. I was referring to other groups and so to further differentiate the two, I chose a different word.

4:51, 5:11, (especially)5:12, and 5:28-

Please go fuck yourselves. Is that too flowery for you?

unfortunately there are no rules here. let's face it, you can say anything you want on here and as long as someone doesn't figure out your writing style then your anonymity is secure. i say if you don't want people talking trash, then get rid of the "anonymous said..." bullshit once and for all. then we'll see if people have anything bad to say about one another. why does a dog lick itself? because it can. why does some nameless jerk-off spout off about whatever and whoever they want on here no matter how insulting or how, well, downright evil they might be? because there are no reprocussions except a bunch of people yelling at a time of day. "damn you 4:58!" "i'll get you, 12:37!" give me a break.

So Wild Bull doesn't count, neither does the Good Sons, Laptop Deathmatch or the Lost Generation ... gotcha!

I don't see how anybody could not be impressed with the fact that dude holds down a job and is this artistically productive.

mazinga II started on tye right foot and fell fast. The last show was good. Lots of potential that just could not get focused. that's why I took close to a year to figure it out and for once not let it out into the public eye until the project was ready. well...........It's ready. See ya tomorrow.
