Update on Matthew and the Arrogant Sea

This is the last post concerning this, I swear: Bryce Isbell has posted a video on Youtube where he appears explaining the band's side of the story on all this. I won't comment, I'll just let you judge for yourselves. Not sure why he chose this format, but to each his own.

Jews were behind the attacks on 9/11. How else can you explain 1,000 jews being absent from work that day?

why does the weshotjr staff always get associated with the 'indie' jew kids.. we're honestly not jewish.. i mean just because we are setup in a kabutz style.. and we are kosher.. and we go to sinagog we are not jewish!

p.s. back to controlling the media..

Not sure about why you guys are being associated with the "indie" jew kids, but you guys lost some of your street cred with that bullshit story.

street cred? give me a break. I stand by the story as written: they only thing that was incorrect about it was what we attributed to the band itself. The rest was either completely factual, a reacion to the band's music, or a reaction to my interviews with them.

And if you don't like it, then quit reading. you won't be missed.

One last thought for this last here post:

SR really was GLAD he didn't check with label contacts before posting about the contract?

I'd, uh, think he'd be more embarassed about reporting (and commenting extensively) about something that wasn't true than making a phone call or two to some label guys who answer these questions for a living and hearing a confused "no."

Is the first more embarassing than the latter? I'd say so, especially if ya want your blog to delve into (believable) "big breaking news". Wonder what kinda press WSJR'll get from all this.

the ironic thing is that the guy in this video probably has similar difficulty trying to convince people that he once had a record deal worth millions.

BTW, it was SR's admin who dropped the ball on the whole source-checking thing. SR was adamant about scheduling a conference call with EMI, but to be honest all of our assistants have just been up to their ears in paperwork lately, mostly due to the WeShot awards. They've also been needed to pitch in and help out the accounts receivable group lately since WeShot's revenue has really gone thru the roof this summer. So cut them some slack.

And keep it up team!

Remember...it's no tie Friday tomorrow!
