You talk DYI, and when one of the most original events that has come out of TX (shit's been copied around the country dudes), you hype the expected.

Rare that flyover country regionalism becomes something national. Even rarer when it's about experiment, charity, and community.

Rock Lotto and G/B is your baby daddy.

I'm glad you know the proper abbreviation for DIY. I'm glad you want to tell us (and therefore the Fra House by proxy) all about what you know concerning DIY and throwing shows. We were sorry that the show got stopped by the police but that's what happens sometimes when you put on a show actually worth going to. Next time we'll try to make sure the show won't be as good, and therefore we won't have so many people show up. Can you give me some advice on doing something nobody gives a shit about? I bet you can.

PS-I've never been to The House Of Blues.

I think it's pretty clear that 842 just got his wittle feewings hurt a bit. Seriously man, these lists we do are just lists of shows we're interesed in seeing. I mean no disrespect to the musicians who will be performing at Rock Lottery (because a lot of them are very good and get written about on this blog frequently), but the idea of going to Rock Lottery just isn't a priority for me when compared to some of the other things happening around town this week (although it will surely appear on our weekend list). Is that such a big deal?

And when you call us out for being "starstruck" right before you call us out for not being able to assure that our massive, free all local show with free beer at a house in Denton doesn't get busted, it quickly reveals your true intentions: you want us to write about and do exactly what you're interested in and nothing else. Well let me save you some of the stress-- it's probably not going to happen. But thanks for reading anyway.
