Lost Generation With The Frenz (Fallout Lounge): Tonight's special guest is Sober from The Party, along with Wanz spinning records. It says The Frenz are playing and I'm not sure if that also means that there will be a live drum-set and everything, but I like the idea of live drums at Fallout Lounge. I believe Faux Fox is doing just that this weekend.

I'm pretty sure they have one. It's laying around my house, somewhere.. can't remember if it's actually a "full-length" or not though.

Silk Stocking has two discs. I can't find my copy of their first one, but I know the most recent, Dialogues With The Devil, is both a full-length and a really big improvement. You should give it a listen.

I can write a song in five minutes, record it in another five, and stick it on myspace in five seconds. I call that efficiency. It's a new art form. I totally agree with what T.J. is saying about people not putting forth any effort toward what they are deeming as art.
But, we aren't living in the renaissance era anymore. It's the 21st century where everything is digital. You don't even have to wait on film to develop anymore.
I don't necessarily think that the art form is as good as it once was. I'm not even saying that it is worth anything. (Time, value, substance). I am saying though that it is something that needs to be embraced.
You can't absolutely believe that you're the only people in an entire city that is actually making something of substance. The thing is, people are making things of substance every five minutes and it is reaching the masses five minutes later.
In my opinion, if you're against that change, you've already been passed by. You're just as much as a novelty as the band that is constantly on myspace. You're "that band" that goes against it all.
If you think of it more as allowing the world to watch you make mistakes, then you've appropriately used the medium.
However, I just typed this up in five minutes. Didn't proof read or anything. So, if anyone would like to share with me any mistakes I've made then by all means, have at it.

I am not in the most chipper mood today, so this may be a little more mean spirited than I usually am, but that was rather unfair and mean spirited with reguards to "all the stuff" (as he put it) from denton being "kind of blasé", insinuating that his band is the only good one.
That is a big statement reaching across a lot of bands (including other bands on thier bill for their show) and insulting them. As a fan of a lot of music I have heard out of denton, it is a direct assult on my taste. I listened to thier tracks on Myspace, and it did not suck. Did nit overly impress me, but it did not suck. High dollar whore, imagined it was the background music from a club scene of a modrn vampire movie (not realy an insult), and Harvest ball, sounded like a dorm formed bands cover of Reverand Glasseye song(again not realy an insult. o.k.kinda, but I do love me some Glasseye).
Main point if I can find it is, I listened to their music AFTER I read the comments in the interview. I was alredy kind of turned off before even got a chance to hear them and I am not likely to to be much of a supporter of them or their music. I doubt this will break the band or their hearts, but there it is.
I preffer when a band/musician defines themslves by what THEY ARE, not what they think OTHERS ARE NOT.

I fucking hate TJ. What an ignorant douche with no formal musical training what-so-ever(not that you have to, but SHIT!). hates everything thats not shitty indie (indie is not shitty, but most of what TJ likes is). what you dont know about music could. Fuck what you think art SHOULD be. You go to UNT for christsake! Easily one of the greatest music schools in the US. why couldnt you learn anything from the vast body of knowledge that was at your finger tips? SHIT man. Humility does not become you. go read a book and flunk a test!
