Obama Benefit Postponed
Boo Hoo. Due to a combination of security issues, landlord issues, and being forced to get everything together at the last minute issues, we've decided to postpone this Thursday's Obama Fundraiser. However, Lil Wil fans shouldn't start crying just yet, because we'll be doing this same show with the same line up at a new location some time within the next couple of weeks. We'll keep you posted.

Right, enslavement...that's what the right to self-determination is. I didn't know slaves were allowed to use computers, or post ridiculous messages about their "enslavement" on message boards. Or vote for or against their enslavement. Maybe when you move out of your parents' house you'll have a bit more perspective, or at least see how ludicrous throwing away your vote (aka voting for Ron Paul) is.

Alright, I'll dumb this down for you as much as possible since you don't seem to get it.
I love the negative connotation people associate with "elitist" now. The argument for representative democracy is that the best and brightest among us (the "elite") make decisions affecting the rest of us (and yeah, we get some idiots in office quite often, but it happens). Sure, they're going to lie, sometimes for self-serving reasons, sometimes for national security reasons, and sometimes because it's expedient to do so. It's politics, and they're human, two conditions which lead to quite a bit of fibbing. Do you seriously believe that a nation with 300 million inhabitants spread across the North American continent can be enslaved, no matter how gradual the takeover is?
If you're so worried about the government being ruled and eventually enslaved by the upper class and big business (the "elitist liars"), don't vote for Ron Paul, start a middle class revolt, dickwad. And read your history books, these situations are not without precedent.

It's not throwing away your vote, if it's for something you believe in. It's throwing away your vote, if you vote for someone, that you don't really agree with, but they're just better than the other single choice. We really do need a third party in this country, if we really want any change. However, those who follow Ron Paul will know that it's more about the movement within that party(Rep.), rather than throwing away a vote on someone who probably won't win. Thus waking up the other members who say they stand for something (ex. less gov't.), making them realize they are on the wrong path.
Now throw all of your hateful comments at me, about how Ron Paul is crazy, and I'm stupid, etc...
Just to note, I haven't lived with my parents, probably since some of you were born, and I'm not ignorant in the way of politics.

1:16, you seem articulate and steadfast in your beliefs, as am I. I am a Libertarian and I trust you know what that means. As for my tinfoil hat rants, I'm just being facetious. Seems like the thing to do in the weshotjr comment section. However, this isn't a good place for a political discussion.
