wolfmother is the most important rock band of recent memory. i feel that soon you should do an in depth feature on these fellows. tonight while watching tnt i saw their song had been included in a number of promos to great effect. thought i'd share in case anyone else had a television set.

also i heard a rumor that good records was owned by the guy from tripping daisy. is this true? i love that band (not as much as wlfmother LOL, sorry tripping daisy....if they read this blog that is) i will be stopping in there soon. oh yes and also can anyone recommend to me any music not on the top 20 like maybe something more like number 25 or even 35 so that i can have an edge on everyone else. sort of like i want to actually turn into a snail like creature and then crawl on the wall and experience life in a different way. anyone?

A Luna best-of sounds like a really great idea. But Galaxie 500 (that would be Dean Wareham's seminal late-80s outfit) was an even better one (MEMO TO ALL BEDHEAD FANS!!!).

Yeah I know they do (I got it on eBay for I think $20 or less) but how many of y'all have heard the Galaxie?

Talk about underrated!!!

ahh, someone's coming here to learn about music.. how... cruel?

anon 1:12, you should start out with insound.com or just go visit your friends at good records, become a cynical prick, then start posting here.

best of luck in your journey!

Give us cynical pricks more credit than insound.com and good records. The music elite wouldn't be caught dead at either place. we only buy our music in austin or on ebay becuase it's all OOP, dude. It's all totally OOP!
