Looks pretty dead tonight.
Social Distortion (Lakewood Theater)
I've never been a fan and I feel sorry for the people that love the band enough to pay $26.50 tonight. I can definitely relate to loving a band so much you'd go broke for them but I think punk is too expensive for me. I have to admit that one of life's little pleasures is that scene in the 80's punk documentary, Another State Of Mind, where you can't tell if Mike Ness is slam dancing on his back, having a drug induced seizure or both. If you aren't one of Social D's faithful fans my advice is to rent this documentary instead. It'll be cheaper and you'll enjoy it a hell of a lot more.

I'm a fan of them, but I'm not gonna pay that, plus I have seen them so many times. They are good live though...
That doc is great stuff. Loved the end when the band quits on him. Everyone is so young in that film it is kind of funny to see it.
Lights of Dragna, The Enemies List, Stag Film & R Band tonight at Club Dada at 9pm. $4 & it's the last night for 1/2 Price Pints (Blue Moon, Stella, etc...) across the board. New drink specials will be announced for next week. Also, The Xmas Tree Machine will play a short set to start off the night.
Yeah but what about a steak dinner? Would you pay $26.50 for that?
I think the last steak dinner I had was thirty seven dollars. Even if you cook at home I believe a decent T-bone is $18.99/lb or so...at least where I shop. That's 1 1/2 lb x $18.99, so you're looking at almost thirty dollars for the pleasure of cooking it yourself. So yeah, I would pay $26.50 for a steak dinner but it probably wouldn't be that good unless it's the special at a decent trattoria on a Saturday night. If that's the case the seasoning is going to be perfect and they'll be liberal with the sea salt (flakes only). I wish I was cheap.
THE CLUB IS OPEN.

This show was probably better last year when Matt Freeman played bass.
