Yeah, deadchild are based out of louisville, KY, where there seems to be an impressive scene building, if you are into more hardcore indie.
I posted a video of Young Widows this week, and a link to a bunch of other groups from that area. Some of them are coming through for SXSW.

no weekender? thought those went up early for those that waste our work days on the internet.
it'll be posted ASAP, but they usually don't get done until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon... we like to wait it out in order to round up last minute concert info and house show stuff, etc.
