Monday Morning Rock

I figured since we were dumb enough to forget about Sunday's Yo La Tengo show, we could at least post their classic video. Anyway, check back with us later for a show review.

I can't really say that I like the grananda, but Yo La Tengo was amazing last night. And I was pleasantly surprised by Times New Viking, they were pretty damn awesome.

the stage is so damn high and i think the sound could be better. i just like being really close to a band and the granada is so big it takes away from the magic of being up close. but im lame and i've only been there twice so maybe i'll grow fond of it, who knows. just not used to it i guess.

I've said it before, but in my opinion the sound at the Granada sucks... and I blame the room, not the sound people. Everything sounds very distant and jumbled to me in that place, but I'm not really sure what can be done about it. And I can't say that I really dig the atmosphere there either.

i think the sound at haileys always sucks the room is too narrow and long...
especially the sound on stage, however, that may be attributed to the fact that my band is no good

I agree that for a place that bills itself as the best sound of any venue in town it seems lacking a bit.
If you were upstairs in the back last night the giant fans pretty much drowned out all the quieter vocals.
Plus, ripping out all the seating seems like a bad idea to me.
Other than that, Yo La Tengo were great.

Granada sound does suck. It sucks acoustically. No low end.
