I don't understand why she only takes close up pictures of one or two people. It'd be cool to see what these parties are actually like- such as.. the environment and whatnot. Not just each hipster that walks through the door and makes a silly drunk face.
Is it ironic to like the Strokes? have we come full circle on these guys? have we completed the irony cycle where if I wore their T shirt would it be silly?
maybe we're supposed to hate it. and, you know, ourselves for even taking time to look at this crap. or be a part of this crap. or TALK about this crap
It seems like yesterday that people could go to a show or club and have a good time without having someone sniping photos of your face at every opportunity.
Random observations about these pictures (Please hold snarky responses until at least after the 75th comment. Then I welcome your opinion.)
1.A. They make me love Denton more. 1.B. They make me regret my tattoos. 1.C. Black Tie Dynasty - Page Four 1.D. I hate these people. 1.E. Actually looks pretty fun.
2. Fuckin' Hipsters. 3. I just realized who the Gorilla is and who the Bear was, but I still don't know who wins.

Take the uptight indie elitist stick out of your small town ass and lighten up. These people are just having a good time instead of going around judging people on indie cred. When did indie cred start getting measured by how stuck up you are anyways. Smoke a joint, drink a shot and go get laid.
On a completely different and much more positive note, the Dallas Video Festival was great. The Lynch shorts were all amazing. The Texas Show compilation featuring the 12 best in show films was equally great and the definite highlight of the film. A music video for Albatross's "Giant" by Nouvelle Mode Films won the audience favorite. Go watch it on you tube.
We Shot JR should cover more music-related films and videos, especially the fests that come around. Dallas is growing rapidly in the film world.
seriously, if all of you critical people actually stepped away from your computers for a change then *gasp* you might even have some fun, like those in these photos seem to be having. it's not a damn crime.

Modern photography is rubbish. I'm sure this girl is nice, but I mean come on how hard is it to get hipster smile and wink for the camera.

I live the It List everyday of my life.

too be honest, she walked out half-way during the set to chat on her phone and missed out on most of the action towards the end of the set. too bad.
It's amusing to see how angry these pics make people get.
