so judging from alot of things i've
seen on this site as of late, music is all about playing dress up...i feel alienated more than ever

i wonder if people made fun of bowie when he played dress up? i'm sure some uptight folk did.

oh god here we go again.the bowie excuse..bowie might have been into fashion and all but at least he could back it up with solid song writing...
i'm not uptight.i am the most laid back person in the world.which is why i find it funny how so many people find the time to devote their energies on what to wear
and what kazoo they can play on stage to get some applause for one lousy gig.i'm really worried about the state of music.i'm really worried that everyone has officially
lost it..or maybe i'm the one that's lost it?

well bowie put quite a bit into his image but still retained his credibility, as did many respected artists. just because people like to dress a certain way shouldn't automatically render them or their event or music uncredible. perhaps that applies to some participants, but certainly not all. and i believe it's a little uptight to worry so much about what other people are doing or wearing as they play or enjoy music. that blood on the moors band's outfits make me cringe, yes ... but genuine appreciation for an era, genre, or just for costumes at fkng halloween i have no problem with.
