Nothing extremely exciting but these shows are worth mentioning.
Brightblack Morning Light/The White Lodge (Hailey's): I'm not the biggest fan of a bluesy three-note Rhodes part repeating for all eternity, but Brightblack Morning Light is worth trying if that description doesn't turn you off. I recommend this if you're into sleeping sickness vocals and pills with your booze.
Estradasphere/Invincible Czars (Wreck Room): These bands wear thin quickly, despite their technical ability. I mean just because you can jump from hair metal to lounge to polka in a single song doesn't mean anything to me other than you probably have hideous taste in music.

While extremely mellow and slow, not much movement, bbml are really really good. At least they were at Dan's.
I dig the bbml record quite a bit, though I've heard mixed reviews of the live show and have yet to see them myself. Of course, I can see why people might not dig them, but I happen to.
If BBML had someone that sounds like Issac Hayes or Barry White singing for them, I would totally go. The reverb drenched vocals, that have nothing to say, get on my nerves after a while.

No. Please don't ban IP's unless it's a death threat or something. One of the catches to that freedom of speech thing is having to deal with 5:39 PM's from time to time. See: The People vs. Larry Flynt. Not the greatest film, mind you, but contains a very good message I think.
And I think anyone has a right to get on here and say a band is boring. You can't want them banned just because of that. I think a lot of bands are boring. Name some bands that you like and i'll probably find some of them boring. You can't police shit like that.
Don't worry, no one is going to get banned and no comments will be erased. I haven't done it once since I started this blog and I never will.
you know, this is kind of like the people vs. larry flynt in that, this thread is good and so is the message in that movie.
