Laptop Language
I was actually kind of impressed when I heard that this week's Dallas Observer music section featured a story on Laptop Deathmatch. And then I actually read it. Yikes. You know, I'd be satisfied if it mentioned some of the quality artists that regularly perform at Deathmatches (it doesn't), but the story would at least be marginally acceptable if it didn't read like the synopsis of a Jack Black movie that went straight to video (it does).

on top of all that. The Open Laptop is loosely affiliated with deathmatch, but it is not officially sponsored by Laptop Deathmatch. It is run by key members of Deathmatch, but that is not made clear by the article.
The Next Official deathmatch is Saturday May 12th. It's a 10 man deathmatch and one of the strongest line ups we have had so far. The Frenz and Ghosthustler are also on that bill.
Tomorrow night a bunch of deathmatchers(myself, Ineka, Matthewmattics from Dreamtigers, Stephen R and Robert Taylor) are throwing a basement(not actually in a basement)keg party at Arts Avenue. It will be a mix of Live electronic and DJ sets. This party will be bangin.
With Adult. on Saturday and Open Laptop on sunday that makes a very strong weekend of music for electronic music fans or anyone looking for something different to do. Cheers!!!!
