It List: Wednesday 5/30/07
The Theater Fire/The Dodos (Hailey's): Good show that I don't have much time to write about today, even though I do have time to tell you that I've only read good things about The Dodos' (formerly Dodo Bird) live shows, and that I've seen these guys compared to everyone from Liars to Animal Collective to Rufus Wainright. Not sure if I really agree with any of those, particularly the first one, but I guess I can kinda hear a less difficult Animal Collective here and there.

the dodos are the most amazing acts i have ever seen live.
meric and logan weave together a nonstopping energetic set of intricate beats, haunting melodies, and looped noises that will melt your face.
ghost of ria play a non vocal driven set, which might encourage some of you to attend... and despite how good looking they all are, especially aaron, they are pretty humble fellas.
Yep, Dodos are greatness. Saw them last time through & plan to see them again.
free show at the cavern if no one wants to drive to dallas.
