It List: Tuesday
Kill Me Tomorrow/Koji Kondo/Laura Palmer (Doublewide): Drawing from a variety of influences ranging from Fugazi to Enon to the Fall to Pere Ubu, San Diego's Kill Me Tomorrow presents a skeletal, drugged out take on art/post-punk that is certainly entertaining enough and quite engaging at times, especially when they allow their more experimental electro leanings a bit of breathing room in the mix. Parade of Flesh has put together an eclectic line up for this show, and you'll want to be certain to show up a bit early for one of Koji Kondo's brief but brutal sets.
Sydney Confirm/Krista LL Muir/Fancy Fist/DJ Mudi (The Cavern): This show will feature our own Sally Glass playing with Sydney Confirm as Fancy Fist. I've actually never heard her sing in person (you can check one of her songs on her myspace page), but she better be good or she's fucking fired. Love ya sweetz! Krista Muir's indie folk is fairly pleasant if you're into that sort of thing.
Hangar 18 (Rubber Gloves): I can't stand this goofy rap garbage, but some people apparently like it for some reason.

god, you're so right. I'm really sorry guys. I would have talked about a totally different set of shows on this list if it wasn't for all the great friendships I have with all of these bands.
And the one person we actually DO know who appears on this list? Well, I fully disclosed that fact and didn't comment on the music.
Blow me.
as for the observer however...
sally glass killed it last night anyway.
in a good way obviously.
What he hell is wrong with plugging your friends?
wsjr is the best underground media source in dfw. they provide information on things in the metro area that would otherwise be ignored by any other media source (generally speaking). and what the fuck do they plug? plugging involves money, commercials, big oligrachic media things- they basically just tell people about things around them and offer opinion on those things... it is obvious they do this out of love- what are they gaining other than personal satisfaction for running one of the better blogs around?
and the only groups that seem to be cashing in are of montreal...
don't take yourselves so seriously, bloggers and commenters alike
WSJR does have a tendency to cover things that are under the radar a bit. Some of these things would be best left under the radar, and some of the things that they mention in passing would sometimes be the things that deserve more coverage.
The thing is WSJR has found a niche market that they've discovered will garner them a little bit of praise from a small underground community They really do believe that other people should know about these things too. As noble a task as this is, it has ostracized a group of bands, artists, and musicians that do not fall into this category of the underground weird artists.
I like most of the bands they talk about, but I have noticed that some things go unnoticed on here that may have got some coverage not too long ago.
However, I'm going to flip everything I've just said and say that I couldn't care less about what they talk about because this is just a personal blog that they can talk about whatever they want.
Sometimes they try to fool us that it's a legitimate source for music news by writing interviews and making mix tapes, they remind us that this is just a personal blog with each it list they provide.
dude, you totally care what we talk about. Its ok to admit it.
Of course it's WSJR's opinions, take them or leave them. Obviously the opinions can be discussed, but ultimately if someone has issue with the blog they should communicate about whomever they want in a blog or on the phone or by mouth or by flyer or what have you. These people, and I haven't been around long enough to have read more than two or three of the bloggers on this site, seem genuinely interested in sharing information and art, which is kinda the point anyhow. People who may have different (sometimes less,) taste (teehee) should take it as such. Is there anywhere to buy a decent pre-amp for a turntable around here other than the GE Fry's sells?
I know I do. And I hate myself for it. I have to read this everyday. Twice a day. Three times a day. Then I talk about it for the rest of the day. I'm a sucker. It's reality tv.
WOOO KMT AND THA KONDO DUDES FUCKIN RULEEE
koji kondo blew.
Man, you people are idiots. It's a blog. A couple of dudes like what they like and then they write about it. YOU turn it into something else.
ya'll buy that angry businessmen tape right now, it is so fresh.
kk = gay gay
AM I RIGHT FELLAS
10:13, that's what I said at 5:15. What sucks about Koi Kondo? Maybe people can expound a little which would actually help others learn as opposed to a quick bullshit spooges because you are bored. jpt
Parade of Flesh did not "set up" that "eclectic" show, he stole it. That show was supposed to be in Denton.
Its nice when anons shart something 5 days after a show occurred. More bitching from denton.
