Lymbyc Systm/This Will Destroy You/Mom (Hailey's): This three day instrumental music festival has thankfully been compressed into a single night. It's pretty cool that two of these Texas acts will be touring Europe, but I can only imagine what the respective set times will be on this show tonight. Any guesses? One hour? Hour and a half? Who knows? I just don't get why instrumental acts have to play so long. Just because you're not singing, you somehow have to take longer to convey what you're trying to express? Seems like you could get it across in one intense fifteen minute piece and be done with it. I always like it when it takes longer for a band to set up their pedals than it does for them to play their entire set. Hilarity. Anyway, best of luck to Mom and This Will Destroy You on the road in Europe this fall.
Adventure Sound/Kashioboy/Florene (The Cavern): I can't believe this, but it looks like another all-instrumental show, as far as I can tell. Florene will definitely stand out from the rest in this lineup, because the other two acts are much more 8-Bit like Ikari Warriors and shit.
