It List: Wednesday

In order for this list to make any difference at all, I must go ahead and post it without getting to say much. Sorry about that. I can say that this is a handful of decent shows for a Wednesday. The 1919 show was very last minute and thrown together in the past few days from what I can tell. Check back with us tonight for more exciting conspiracy theories and the usual parade of cowardly sucker punches. I mean, extremely insightful commentary from all of our best friends. Love ya!

Not sure. There's more of them. No feathered hair. No matching white suits. But musically...who knows. They might just surprise you with some "Careless Whispers." No guarantees.

review of the rubber gloves show:

cocky americans were cocky. amazingly they dressed like roosters and pecked away at the grain feed on the stage being thrown by Amish farmers.

darktown strutters were strutting "it" up and down the stage dressed as injuns. were those electronic drums or an electronic drummer? i don't think i saw him blink.

deleted scenes deleted my memory of the denton scene on a wednesday night. despite early technical problems they did there schtick with tightness and effervescense.

deep snapper put down their instruments in exchange for snapping fingers and whistling harmonies while the reincarnation of Stiv Bators did some weird version of a mexican hat dance in front of the stage.

in between bands i heard of a plot to assasinate the members of kaboom, soggy around the edges, and lame lame and quiet on saturday, in the park, i think it was the 4th of july. people laughing, people dancing, a man selling ice cream, singing Italian songs.

I knew last night could somehow be wrapped up with the timeless wisdom of 'Chicago'...

Darktown Strutters use both live and electronic drums. Wes doesn't blink cos he's an Apache fucking Warrior with a Metal fucking Plate.
