It List: Monday
Cool Out is happening tonight at the Cavern, but other than that, we got nothin'. Did we miss something? I doubt it. But fortunately for all of you, we'll have some exciting things posted throughout the week this week.....
ADD: I'd love it if some of the smart people on here would read this article and discuss. It's a bit long, but it's probably the most neutral and fascinating article I've seen thus far this season concerning the respective strategies of the major presidential campaigns and the ways in which the Palin nomination altered those strategies. Dear Democrats-- start being smarter please. We'd like to win one of these some time soon. Thanks.
ADD: We forgot about Young Doc Gooden's weekly at Hailey's as well. Sowwy. :-(

that's so old news
90s and early 00s hip hop at Haileys
where's the 2030 hip hop
to put it plainly.
the republican party is playing kerplunk with this election.
CREMASTER!!!
The Republicans big challenge this election was to not loose the conservative base which has floated them along these past 8 (35?) years. Palin has the same appeal that GW had, a common folker who somehow understands this here political game. This pick only further shows the tight grip that evangelical Christianity has around our political process.
I believe that Palin was very well vetted and what I see as counter productive to America's future (17 year old baby making, off shore drilling, lying, god endorsed wars, shooting wolves from helicopters), all of these work in favor of the republican parties target. Dumb fuck Christians, rich people in private sector and racist.
Should have been Lieberman, shame it's not. I hate Liberman's guts but at least it would have been a sign that the Republicans were attempting to make a step forward and wash Rove tactics from their bloodied hands. But the republicans have once again proven themselves to be sexist, lying money grubbing power mongers. Sexist you say? Please take a look at Kay Bailey Hutchison's resume and compare it to Palin's. What could have been a deciding factor there? Maybe it was the retarded baby...
hutchison is pro-choice. not a very republican ideal in most circles.
i like you. do you like me? yes or no.
bye.
ps. i have an xbox 360
I'm not really into video games, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I don't like you. What else you got?
boobies
fs McCain is the maverick he claims to be why wouldn't he choose a woman who does clash with her party. She believes that states should decide the abortion issue. So she believes in an ACTUAL republican ideal, states rights, in lieu of religious pandering. Not to mention that the whole issue is steeped in the sexism of old decrepit Washington.
Letting social conservative pandering interfere with the prosperity of our country is something that has to stop with in the Republican party.
But the Hutchinator also was a vocal voice for lifting the DC concealed handgun ban and loves big oil. They are not trying to fill a hole left by Hillary and the future of females in the Republican party. They are doing it because she appeals to the evangelical loonies, who unfortunately are the richest and most powerful in our country.
Plus Palin is a lying skank. I have a Wii.
i also have a new york times subscription.
and pot brownies
My "dumb fuck Christian" parents were not voting for McCain (or Obama for that matter) until he picked the bitch. And just like that, the Moral Majority is back in action, fired up, and ready to vote. I wish I could think about that voting bloc as somewhat intelligent folks, but they honestly fit into every single stereotype I've ever heard about them.
I just hope she makes some serious gaffes pretty soon so the "liberal" media can manhandle her a little bit more without seeming like starving wolves.
A subscription to the New York Times AND pot brownies? Now we're getting somewhere.

SR needs to get laid.
down's syndrome does not equal mental retardation.
I can't wait to know how narcissist Palin's smug sense of humor will fare against Biden's attempt to be "civil".
Yes, I think the Vice Presidential debates will be interesting, and if Biden handles it the way I think he's going to, it won't be pretty. He'll try to be "respectful" and won't be able to shut up about "honoring" McCain's service to the country and what an "accomplishment" it is to have a woman VP nominee and she'll start kicking him in the balls over and over. Expectations will be so low that no matter what she does, the press will say that she did a great job and looked more Presidential than anyone could have possibly imagined.
Really? Have you ever met a smart, or even average intelligence downie?
corky!

Is anybody else tired of the hippie/indie kids who make up about 70 percent of UNT? I am so tired of these people riding their 20 year old bikes, wearing brown shaded sun glasses, flannel shirts, high water jeans, cigarettes in their ears, drinking wine like these people are cultured, and pissing me off! You people are the new emo. Jesus, you try so hard to be different, but in reality...its not just you, you all listen to "old modest mouse." So fuck you, and I hope you fail out of your art/english/philosophy/photography bull shit major.
sorry, but it had to be said
i have met and worked with several individuals with down's syndrome who were of average intellegence (above 80 iq). unfortunately, with a rise in prenatal screenings the majority of babies found to likely have down's during the first trimester are aborted. they can lead productive lifes and are capable of many tasks necessary for self sufficience. too bad selfishness takes over and we feel that because they can not lead lifes that we would find worthwhile we do not allow them to make that decision for themselves.
the pats need to sign chad hutchison.
What just happened?
I also work with individuals with downs and yes they may be able to function but you will fine VERY few with an IQ over 70. Yes they can function, but it takes inhuman dedication and service from family and state.
It's selfish to keep a child if you know that it is going to have a severe disablement.

You're going to the wrong school if you're the conservative meathead I think you are. (Why do you care about these people?)
Couldn't get into Baylor?
"A subscription to the New York Times AND pot brownies? Now we're getting somewhere."

or somethin?
to put it plainly... there's one born every minute.
chad hutchison? sure the pats are hard up, but c'mon.
who gives a shit anyway, it's all steelers now, baby...
Neutral? Are You Kidding Me?
Seems to me like 70% of UNT is fratty-ish really boring people.
haha wtf?? that article was far from "neutral"
Well I guess I should have said "non partisan." What wasn't neutral about it?
The Pats should sign Quincy Carter.
better than hutchison, right geoff?
This blog will never make it without Fuel City talk.
